UX, UI & Visuals
for a brand new app developed in-house: Ad-Optimizer
One of the most fascinating tasks I came across with working for Algomizer, was to design Ad-Optimizer’s UI/UX. My design had to be within the same look & feel of Algomizer’s strongest SaaS product: Ad-Assistant, which had been outsourced.
Ad-Optimizer is one of Algomizer’s strongest ‘babies’, an in-house developed SaaS capable of doing literally ‘magic’ for SEO/SEM Marketers as well as for regular people that like to put hands on their online marketing campaigns and already know the basics of it.
A better Google Adwords on its way…
Back in 2014, Google Adwords used to look like this, remember?…
My first challenge was then to learn Google Adwords’ interface in order to understand the leaks in user experience and go ahead and redesign it for our purposes, in our own graphic language and with our own features.
Designing an app of this complexity (desktop and/or mobile) is a huge challenge and an amazing experience which involves lots of thinking (what to include (and what not to), whether it’s totally necessary for it to be there, where to place it, how the user will interact with it, if it’s friendly and intuitive enough for the normal user, if it’s recognizable and memorable for the user, and aaalllll those questions you have to ask yourself each and every time you add a comma, an icon, a tip or a label, a dropdown, a menu or any other feature).
This is one of the things I LOOOOVE the most getting hands on.
